I like this article because it has the right intention of actually reducing fires in homes and flats. This is where I believe more emphasis should be put to actually find the source of where fires can start and educating people to avoid them.
At Whale Fire, when we carry out fire risk assessments to flats we also provide Tenant Information Sheets to the residents to provide them with simple fire safety advice. This includes electrical safety which is why I like the idea of this fire safety fund. It all helps.

Have you ever had any of the following fire risk assessment frustrations: Unrealistic fire risk assessments reports which are difficult to understand? Recommendations that are very onerous asking for retrospective building control alterations? Unrealistic consideration of timeframes to complete work? Fire risk assessments which ask for further survey after survey (fire door/compartmentation etc)? Our fire risk assessments are easy to follow, impartial, third party and safe contractor accredited and can save you money by not requesting you have further compartmentation or fire door surveys as a mandatory solution. We include a part compartmentation survey in our assessments. They are carried out in a pragmatic way with a common sense approach to our work. We work with our clients not against you.
