How can leaseholders be responsible for this residential building in Birmingham?

They have been quoted over £5000 a week for a walking watch after fire engineers found the external walls to have 100% fire safety deficiencies.

Did these leaseholders agree the building materials and give Building Control approval?

You have to ask how on Earth has that been allowed to happen and go through all of the rigorous stages of Building Control regulation and approval.

Residents have been told there flats are currently worthless and their insurance premiums have gone up.  As if dealing with lockdown wasn’t enough.
