How can leaseholders be responsible for this residential building in Birmingham?
They have been quoted over £5000 a week for a walking watch after fire engineers found the external walls to have 100% fire safety deficiencies.
Did these leaseholders agree the building materials and give Building Control approval?
You have to ask how on Earth has that been allowed to happen and go through all of the rigorous stages of Building Control regulation and approval.
Residents have been told there flats are currently worthless and their insurance premiums have gone up. As if dealing with lockdown wasn’t enough.

Kitchen fire safety tips
* You should never leave cooking unattended.
* You should switch off the oven or hob when you have finished cooking and take any pans off the heat.
* You should keep electrical leads, tea towels and clothing away from the oven and hob.
* Please remember to clean your grill, hob and oven on a regular basis. A build up of grease and fat can catch fire whilst cooking.
