This is an interesting article which suggests over a third of all businesses still don't have a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment in place.
Many fire risk assessments are still found to be inadequate upon inspection and may have been carried out by an inexperienced assessor or somebody in house who lacks the technical expertise to understand all of the risks.
Please make sure you have a fire risk assessment in place as the costs and consequences of not far outweigh the costs of the assessment itself.
