Good advice from London Fire Brigade for the responsible persons at heritage sites.  

Making sure during the lockdown period that you reduce the risk of fires as much as is practically possible.

This can be achieved by:

Making sure you switch off any unnecessary electrical appliances 

Ensuring you reduce the amount of unnecessary combustible materials on site

Keeping combustible materials away from any potential ignition sources and the external perimeter of your building clear

Increasing any security and surveillance measures (eg extra lighting, fencing, CCTV, burglar alarms)

Keeping internal doors closed when the building is unoccupied to limit the spread of any fire

Carrying out the recommendations in your fire risk assessment when safe to do so

Making a salvage plan
